with colors from the southwest
this quilt depicts a spirit warrior
and his owl, a palomino paint war
horse, a Native American chief in
full head dress with a howling
wolf and a buffalo in the
background joined by a muted
mountain range of blues and
mauves. The sun is depicted with
a symbol of the culture in a cloud
strewn sky and topped by a
magnificent eagle. The center
panels are surrounded by 4
quarter panels on each side
depicting the face and partial
head dress of the chief along
with the war horse on one panel
and the buffalo and wolf on the
other panel. The two figures
comprise the 8 panels. All
surrounded by navy blue and
orange symbols with pieced
fabric in sections between the
quarter panels and the center
panels. The entire quilt is bound
with navy blue blanket binding
and signed and dated. This
would make a great wall hanging
in the den or a beautiful covering
for your bed.
